Job Summary:

The Comcast Technology Internship Program is an 11-week summer program designed to identify high-caliber talent to build our organization with the best and the brightest students.
Over the course of the summer, your experience will include:

Department and Position Overview:
The Mobile Back office team is responsible for all Xfinity Mobile Omni-channel APIs. As an intern you will partner with senior engineers to evaluate new industry trends in micro services architecture, machine learning and data analytics.

Responsibilities will also include:

- Promoting the use of industry and company technology standards

- Monitoring emerging technologies/technology practices for potential use within the Company Designing and developing updated infrastructure in support of one or more business processes.

- Helping ensure a balance between tactical and strategic technology solutions

- Contemplating business problems end-to-end: including people, process, and technology, both within and outside the enterprise, as part of any design solution

- Integrating knowledge of business and functional priorities

- Acting as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment

Core Responsibilities:
- Architecture and development efforts of 12 factor BSS micro services using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Cloud Stream, Cloud Foundry, AWS, and NoSQL (Cassandra) in an agile environment for an enthusiastic DevOps team

- Ensuring programs are envisioned, designed, developed, and implemented across the enterprise to meet business needs.

- Interfacing with development team and other technical/functional architects to ensure that most efficient solutions are designed to meet business needs.

- Ensuring solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.

- Tracking and documenting requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements.

- Presenting solutions to senior architects.

- Interacting with departments to implement improvements in process.

- Practicing test-driven development in an Agile/Scrum environment

- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specification:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a United States-based college or university
- Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Science and Technology (IST), or a related field
- 3. 0 GPA or higher

- Java development experience

- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Cloud Stream, Cloud Foundry, AWS, and NoSQL is a plus
- Demonstrates solid decision-making skills
- Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in group settings
- Strong interest in the technology, telecommunications, cable and media industries
- Current and future authorization to work in the United States of America

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
